My parents/grandparents of course....but in 1955 I met Ed, big influence, big...became lifelong friends till we lost him...must also include Bob Spina (best friend), Tom Kelly, Nat Quick, the Baron, Dean Jefferies, Steve Kafka, Butcher, Coop, Ron Foreman, Phil Whetstone, Art Himsl, Mike Clines, Shakey Jake and a gaggle more who were just as influencial as named...

I knew Dutch, but he wasn't around my circles until the 80's.....

I seemed to pick up different styles and techniques as I traveled around, over time I established my own "look"....something we all end up doing in some fashion or other.....or should...

My biggest influences would have to be my dad, my uncle (he let me run around his storage unit of twelve cars as a kid), God, George Barris and Big Daddy Roth.

I would have to say that everyone who ever picked up a striping brush or any medium involved in defacing junk to make beautiful artwork has been my number one influence. I'm sort of like a little kid , when I like something I want to do it when I grow up. So I guess if I ever decide to grow up I want to be just liek you guys reading this foolish comment. Thanks to my close friends who have been instrumental in helping me pull off yet another crazy idea I came up with to host a Panel Swap, I hope we can keep it fun like last year. Sounds very promsing this year with lots of surprise guests.
See Ya,
Chris

of course it was my father that got me hooked on cars.....in the 70s and 80s he had his own bodyshop and I worked for him as a young wide eyed teenager.
As far as pinstriping that habit has to be blamed on Chris "Curse" Stapley!
I had gotten some brushes for a piece of artwork and Chris said he would teach me how to use them. Thanks Chris for trying to teach a stubborn fool like me, you have been a good friend.
